♥ Faceclaim(optional): Milana Vayntrub
Strengths/Abilities
Working her way up to becoming a psychologist, Natalia can
read people quite well. Of course, she hasn't gotten to the level of being able to actually understand everything, but she's working her way up to that. One day she will hopefully reach her goals and become better at it.
Besides seeing behind other's actions, Natalia is also a
pretty good listener. She enjoys listening to people and is somehow managing to calm people. She doesn't know how she does it, but simply takes it as a sign that her chosen profession isn't a bad one.
Also, in her presence, problems get solved relatively quickly. She is a
fast thinker and would do almost everything in her power to help someone out with their situation, so it rarely takes her longer than a day of thinking things through to find a way.
Inabilities/Weaknesses
As much as Natalia would like to call herself decent at working with both humans and monsters, she knows it isn't fully like that. Her personality simply doesn't allow it, as much as she tries. So, in other words, her
anger gets the best of her sometimes, ending some interactions rather quickly.
"Did I do that right? Did I do that wrong?
Failure. I'll never get a job. I'll never get my degree. I'll mess up, I usually do." Yep,
anxiety. A common but awful thing to deal with is something Nat has, many times rendering her incapable of talking to new people. A lot of things might trigger her and she's just so afraid of dealing with them...On second thoughts,
she's probably the one who'd need a therapist first.
Don't leave her alone. Anywhere. As much as she can handle other people's issues, she can't handle her own. So basically, if she ever got into a tricky situation, she
wouldn't be able to handle it. She simply wouldn't.
Personality
Shy and awkward at first sight, Natalia can warm up to people quite easily. If someone is next to her, that is. She has a pessimistic attitude, sometimes coming off as rash and cold, but as soon as she realizes that nobody wants to hurt her, she's off. This girl will try to do whatever she can to help you out and might even manage to, but you will need to have befriended her prior to that. She's accepting of everyone and ambitious, wanting to become a psychologist, but also pretty hardworking, trying to study hard and also be careful at her actual job, the one of taking care of animals. Just...Don't try to hurt her, she can't fight one bit.
Life Story
Being born to an averagely budgeted family, Natalia has been taught to work hard for everything. From her grandparents, that is.
Her parents, however...Weren't the best ones. They were cold, working hard all day...She didn't feel too loved. She knew they did love her, but it was simply too difficult to believe that, honestly, especially since the only affection she had ever gotten was from her grandparents. Her parents were under a lot of stress, the both of them, so screaming was something pretty often heard inside their home, reason why she cannot tolerate it, even at adulthood.
School was pretty welcoming, though, and listening to people seemed to be something Natalia was good at, so there it went - Book after book regarding psychology being read, a constant search for a good college - The brown haired girl finally found a way. The only issue was, probably, that he parents wouldn't be able to pay for it. So there went a long part of her life, where balancing her studies and a job wasn't too difficult. However, with the college life in, she's now a stressed little bundle of anxiety. She can't allow herself to drown in apathy, but the hours at the pet shop are pretty rough (as much as nice being around animals is) and the classes are becoming more and more demanding. She sometimes wonders if she'll make it through it, to be honest.
Sample Roleplay
"Oh, God, not another one...", Natalia mumbled, staring wide-eyed at the assignment she had totally forgotten about up until now. What would she do? It was a full 3.000 words to write and she had absolutely no idea how to do it...Huh, maybe this job still wasn't fully fit for her. But she had studied for so long...She
had to be able to write it, even if it meant pulling an all-nighter! Besides, she'd probably somehow spare some time to sleep while at work, hoping not to get caught by her boss...Damn.
But as long as she had found a way, wouldn't that be enough...? No, it probably wouldn't, but she couldn't find anything better. Maybe even not sleeping at all for the day? She'd be very tired, but it'd be worth it...
