*You feel your sins crawling on your back.
108 The P.I. and shadow man seemed to be at each other's throats now making them primarily in the way. While the two shouted at each other, he kept his attention on Chara, who was putting on the waterworks. Sans started to move toward the child again, bringing up a wall of bones which quickly fizzled out as he dropped face first onto the pavement. It seemed monster DERTMINATION was not nearly as powerful as that of a human leaving his drained stamina to get the better of him. The skeleton attempted to get back up but failed and gave into the exhaustion.
He was out cold.
*on days like these, kids like you...Should be burning in hell

The young man’s reaction was unexpected, but perhaps not undeserved as Winter’s expression faltered for a moment, trying to block out the struggle with guilt that now resided in her gut. It seemed that she had touched a nerve, one that had little to do with her own actions and some deep personal scar. She was almost tempted to correct him when he referred to her as a cop, but something dawned on Winter as she witnessed the child begin to cry. Part of her immediately wanted to wrap the child up and offer comfort, but that nagging sense of better judgment caused her to remain oddly quiet as the wheels started to turn. None of this made sense. To run from a monster was one thing, but to be afraid of someone that had saved your life and looked human, especially one you probably thought was a cop, was another. Was it fear or some kind of ploy? As Winter replayed the events in her mind, the puzzle pieces continued to fall into place, suggesting that the kid’s actions were driven by strategy and not circumstance. It was an unsettling thought and not one she wanted to accept. However, as she recalled it wouldn’t be the first time in history a child so young had been capable of murder, but what could she do about it? Her hands were tied. As long as the kid had a shield to hide behind, Winter was at a stalemate, she couldn’t touch them and her gaze dropped back to the only creature here that could probably tell her the truth. To her surprise, he was moving towards the kid again and brought up a wall of bone, which disappeared as quickly as it had appeared, causing him to collapse onto the ground. Winter quickly darted to his side, taking note that he had passed out from exhaustion. Was the kid really that dangerous in his eyes that he'd go to such extremes? "Alright, you win." Winter began in a tone that sounded more defeated than she intended. "Look, he's exhausted. I need to get him somewhere he can rest, but someone has to watch out for the kid. She likes you, maybe you can get through to her?" She suggested calmly, aware that she was asking a lot, but there were few options left to her at this point. Drawing a phone from her pocket, she offered it to him with a nudge. "There's only one number in that phone, if you have any trouble or need help, call me. I really wasn't trying to hurt the kid, but I think we can agree that they don't need to be alone right now. I'll find you once he's somewhere safe." It was a gamble, but at this point, did they really have any choice? With that, Winter moved to hoist the skeleton into a position that she could carry, which wasn't easy considering that he was now mostly dead weight.... Heh! Dead weight. She'd have to remember that one when he woke up. @ Chara, Sans, Aesop MADE BY VEL OF GS AND ADOXOGRAPHY 2.0

Sighing in relief, the shadows behind him completely faded away like cinders in the wind. He wasn't sure if he could even try and shadowjump away, or else he would be taken by them entirely. His best options now was to leave with the girl. Looking back at the woman he eyed the phone wondering was this a true act of sencerity, or was she trying to trick him? At this point he was too tired to even care about it but the thought ran with his mind. He eventually sighed and took the phone but looked back at her, "Don't try anything funny either...you'll regret it in more ways than one."
He walked away and approached the kid reaching for her hand, "Let's go ok? Your coming with me alright?" He was tired, bleeding, and needed to seriously rest..but right now he wanted to make sure the kid was safe...maybe even take her to his home? He wasn't sure what was the right call, so much was going through his mind. He still remembered what the skeleton said, was she a murderer? Did he seriously defend a murderer? Was he sure he could do what he said? Protect her and maybe try to fix what was wrong? He damn was sure he didn't know what he was getting into, but he didn't care. Now he was stuck in this situation and he was stay in for the long haul.

Would you look at that, Sans was down for the count! Too bad witnesses were around because she would have so loved to kill this stupid skeleton dork! She had to stay in her role… even though seeing him lying on the ground felt so satisfying. Too bad a police woman and this shadow man were around so she had no other choice but to play along… it was too risky to take these two on right now.
So when the police woman was gone, Chara grabbed the man’s hand and got up. Now where would they go? And how could she learn if he hated humans as much as she did? Was he even a human? Overall the gears in her head were spinning like crazy. If all humans here had some flashy powers, she would have a hard time eradicating them all. As much as the murderer hated that thought, for now she would have to play along. As long as she didn’t harm anybody, nothing would happen to her. And should she kill people, she would have to make sure nobody could connect her to the crime… so killing humans with knives was out of the question already. Too bad, stabbing was her favorite way to kill people. However what if she made it look like accidents? Yes… that sounded good… For now she would walk along with this shadow man… alright, it was awkward to only call him shadow man… maybe…
