Strengths/Abilities
Siren Singer: Ever since she was six, Kassi had found out that she had quite a knack for singing. Though she may not have background music or know that others may be watching, but all those who can hear the notes of her voice could listen o it all day and never gets tired. With any tune, Kassi can fit any words in she wants, but nobody would seem to care the way they move to the sound of her voice.
Mimicry is a skill she does not use often, but it is always quite helpful when in a tight spot.
Water/Ice Mage: Though very few have ever driven the little sweetheart to snap, the winged wolf/human hybrid can bend water or any form of it to her will. Often, this is her only way to give ts to those she is thankful to, but if you are on the other end of her ice blades, I would advise watching your back. One minute, you're dodging sharpened pellets of hail, next you might be trying to hold your breath as long as you can until either a headache hits and she stops long enough to make a getaway or Kass lets you off with a gruff warning.
"Love Extraordinaire": Given this title by herself, the little hybrid would often clean herself up when her "Master" wasn't looking ad sneak off to the library and read every word in every book about determination and love. Growing up with a very cruel demanding Monster and her parents being burned before her eyes have always made her wonder what love is. Though little ones shouldn't be dating in the first place, She helped many with her expertise, which saved 89% of all of the couples that have come to her little booth because, hey, nothing else was working.
Inabilities/Weaknesses
Two Left Paws: Unlike what many fables say,
singing and dancing do not come in the same packaging!! Simple dance moves practically are all she can do, or otherwise, "Muzzle, meet Floor". Yeah, not real pretty. However, she had amazing grace as she runs and pirouettes, but one wrong twist or step, BAMM! Mostly, she trips over her paws or her tail gets in the way, or it could be possible she doesn't want to make a fool of herself in front of you because Kass really likes you.
Spiders!!!!!: These are a major biggie with Kassikadarosa; put one near her, and she will either smack it away then trip you if it is small, but big spiders cause an unearthly screech and tailwind from her dove white wings as she flees to the nearest 'hidey-hole' and glares at the arachnid. Trust me, there is a good reason she has this fear and it isn't likely for the trauma to disappear just like that: *snaps fingers*. If you ever are in a tight spot with her as your enemy, keep a pocketful of eight-legged friends and you will be safe from any harm.
Haunting Memories: Fire, screams, and angry humans lie in the graveyard of horrid, scarring memories that the hybrid has tried to bury. Most lie down, but constantly, either in nightmares or when she is lost in thought, Kassi's mother and father's burning will overload her senses as if she were trapped within that moment of petrifying fear and suffering; making her [seem to] act out for no apparent reason.
Personality
Although she is a lightning rod to tragedy, Kassi is just a little sweetheart who rarely ever does anything of a negative aura. Many see her like a teddy-bear who one can go to for comfort or when they feel like nobody understands them. Now that there is a break to get away from her own life's problems, her nurturing and constructive words help heal any broken heart. She has had more than her fair share of tears, so wiping them away has now become an involuntary way she gets through life.
Kass sees life as a once-and-only chance to make the best of every moment, so why not laugh it off when the going gets tough? The hybrid has a reasonable, although sick sometimes, sense of humor. Every joke or riddle is well thought through and normally gets a few laughs here and there, even when her audience isn't exactly in the best of moods.
The winged wolf may be sweet and somewhat prideful in her voice, but constantly she shys away from monsters. Poor thing, she feels like such an embarrassment in public! If someone just looks at her, she will look down at herself and try to find a place where she can blush an hide, even if she is gussied-up and wearing her signature blue sparkly dress for "formal occasions". Many times, she does not think of herself as worthy for sight and modesty will combine with her shyness, making Kass difficult to speak with.
No matter any other personality trait she may carry, the winged wolf/human girl's temper is rather befuddling. One minute, she is taking serious hits on her ego and she is perfectly calm, the next, one person asks her something completely irrelevant and they get met with ice swords and three snapping jaws aiming for them. The exact triggers to her unexplained rages are unknown, but they seem to be based from questions about how she was human, wolf,
and had wings or about her romantical status. Well, that is what most are guessing anyways. A word to the wise, just don't get in on it when someone is trying to "burn" her; she can handle herself just fine with that silver tounge of hers.
Life Story
Archengel, a fine wolven warrior who only appeared to eyes of the public when in times of dire need, was in battle alongside King Asgore and many more glorious soldiers as specks of deceased monsters blasted past his grey and white fur. Three victims that had been drowned by his power were the last of the human race to pass on in the short war, for the humans had just claimed their victory and were forcing the others to go underground, away from the sky and away from the moon and stars. Arch couldn't handle the mere thought of never seeing the beautiful sunsets or flying to his heart's content in the night; he would be miserable beneath the soil. He chose that the only way he would be in the ground was when the wind was still and his time to go wasn't premature, so Arch ditched the armor gifted by His Majesty, lurched it at the forceful magic-less beings and shot off the the clouds.
However, it was not long before the word spread about a over-sized winged wolf roaming about. The forest would provide the most sufficient cover for a creature of his "type". The last magic the
Ales Lupus imagined he would use was to change his ashy hued wings into a very detailed, not to mention unnatural, charcoal tribal wing pattern onto his back. After countless years Archengel spent being a wild animal, Mysti Tusninari was studying the wildlife in the forest with her camera as she made her way to Mt. Ebbot to study anthing living there. She wasn't even assigned to take pictures here, but this forest was her playground and she always spotted beautiful flora and fauna here, so surely her superior wouldn't be too disappointed with her efforts. Unaware of her close whereabouts, the hidden monster stood atop a tall cliff, merely looking up into the sunset so far away. Seeing the regal wolf and at a gorgeous time of day, Mysti assumed he would keep his pose, but what her camera caught what her blue eyes missed~ the largest wings she had ever seen on this titanous canine, not realizing her flash blinded the beast and sent him plummeting beside her.
Entirely forgetting of how wolves didn't speak the same language as humans, Arch's secret spilled as he cursed the woman out. Both widened their eyes in alarm and screamed in unison. After circling one another several times and each one pleading not to be killed by the other, the two had come to a unexpected friendship. As terms of the friendship, he had to tell what the monsters were like and what all made them up, while she had to show him where the "fabled" monsters were said to be kept. She wanted to explore, but the monster warned that monsters might still have a grudge on humans, so it wouldn't be wise to go down into Mt. Ebbot just yet.
Years passed once more, leading to crushing on, then love, then secret marriage, and so on until Mysti was not at the house where she should've been lying in the bed. His nose picked up an unfamiliar scent which he tracked to find a house said that belonged to a doctor who specialized in birthing. Archengel was worried his wife was disappointed in him for not being able to hold his child just yet but when he flew to the high branches of a tree, his amber eyes spotted a pink little bundle of joy, Kassikadarosa Sayuri Tusninari, so far the mother decided on her own. The proud wolf held his child once Mysti was allowed to walk out with the new arrival, weeping tears of joy, the only tears he ever shed in his life.
However, as she aged, both Mother and Father knew that their child could not stay in the human world. If wings, wolf ears, and a tail weren't enough, water magic and the ability to become more canid when in spite only made the situation worse. Kassi would have to be raised where those qualities were more common ~ the banishment grounds of the fabled peak. She vowed that she would bring supplies for their baby's care as long as he kept his vow to fly as high as he could to the gap between their worlds and let her see little Kassi and interact with her for as long as they could before retreating back to the inners of the ruins.
Ever since her birth, Kassi's parents have been hiding their love and child from the eyes of the public. It may sound horrible to those who can always run about freely every day, but it was all she knew and the hybrid lived with her family happily for three years, and that was when everything went down the drain. Over time, people began to notice the patterns of where Mom always went to and always with the same supplies, gradually changing over time. Suspicion grew, questions rose, and the evasive answers let everyone know that something was horribly wrong. Of course, monsters are indifferent about whether any child was a full or partial monster, they had monster blood and they were alright. However, humans could not even dare to imagine the thought of a hybrid surviving!
Unaware of the spar that was between his wife and the other humans at the time, Kassi's father said that if she was good and was respectful, she could go out for the first time and get to meet a few of his friends at work. Since he found out monsters wouldn't discriminate his child, he supposed it was ok. It was all so new to her, but the joy would have to wait; Mother was already gone and they were next if Father didn't do anything. Though Kass' father told co-workers to keep her safe once he received news there his wife was scorched to death, Kass disobeyed, only to see raging flames, her father's dust blow in the wind, and angry humans charging at her.
With all this rushing through a three-year-old's head, her only instinct was to run; fly! Do anything that could get her out of harm's way!! Four paws and wings are a lot faster than two feet, but when untrained and in a forest, chances were not good for the pup. By bumping into a leg, the little girl soon found a spider-commanding monster that was only kind and generous on the outside. Before he could even say "What is going on?", she passed out in the tickly grass.
When blue eyes reopened, she was in a dark cave, stitches were keeping her wounds together with sticky spider web and the creature
growled at her, "You owe me." After explaining what she would do for him as payment for his work, he put a black collar around her neck that symbolized she worked for him. Not daring to question the monster that saved her life, Kassikadarosa kept her "Master" as happy as she could, despite what she truly wanted. She wanted to learn and go to school, but he denied her wish and shut her up by taking her to town twice every month and letting her socialize with children her age.
Then a defiant, young eight-year-old sprang up and took off to the library every chance she got. That was when she learned about love, determination, and flying. She got to see her 'friends' and they asked her why she came up so early one day. Confused, she asked what he meant, and he pointed upwards. " 'Cause your Dad's right there." Oh, he was not happy when he found her! Picking her up by her wings and literally letting her drag behind him was only the first of the pain and trauma that had scarred her for life. Remember when I said there was a reason for why Kassi was deathly afraid of spiders? What happened next was why.
All scratched up and bloody, they hybrid's "Master" was almost going to close the curtains for her, but on the table was a glass of water and a plan just waiting to be carried out. When the monster asked if she had any final words or wishes, her finger pointed to the glass. Never guessing that she could do anything to counter-attack, he allowed it: a terrible mistake on his part. Pelting hail was killing off most the spiders to his surprise and he tried saving himself by taking shelter behind a chair.
Sapphire eyes didn't dare look back, for now, she was out the window and free! Free to do what she wanted! Though her heart's desire was able to be done, she still feared he would come back and search for her.
The next years of her life were difficult, finding ways to scrape up some money here and there, but freedom to hang about was better than being a maid for a petty man.
Sample Roleplay
Plucking the petals from a wilting daisy, Kassi sat in the daylight, angelically soft tail wagging and a matching heavenly voice singing out loud for all to hear. There was not much to do today and the snow was falling ever so gently all around her. Careful not to crush the flowers beneath her own weight, the hybrid rolled onto her back, sighed, and began to talk to herself with the flower still within her delicate grasp.
"Ya know, flower? I wish that there was someone to talk to besides you. Ya know, someone who can understand how I feel, heh, or at least try to." Eyes of a deep blue stare longingly at the petaled plant as if it could grant her what she wanted, then laughed at herself.
"Who am I kidding?" Her human-ish form changed into one more so of her late father and imitating a fox, leaped into the snow head-first. Paws formed and swept her into the mound of frozen water flakes, no sign of her anywhere. In a flash she shot out, tail fuzzed to an incredible size to make way for a pile of leaves she mistook for an arachnid.
After laughing again at her over-reactive responses, she flopped down on the ground and began to make snow angels below her prints and the wilting daisy. Kass paused. There seemed to be a silhouette, peeking from behind a tree. Wolf ears perked up and her tail wagged once more, curious as to who they were.
"H-Hello? You can come over and join me; I don't bite!" Either enthusiasm or the word mentioned ("Bite") scared it away, because it disappeared before her very eyes. Expression turned to that of befuddlement, then the winged wolf/human girl flopped back down and made herself comfortable in the snow.
