Today was nice!
Skeksis decided to lounge on the beach, having already been soaked in the sea water for his necessary fortnight dousing. It was pleasantly warm, so warm that he found himself dozing off for a nap. He had already eaten so he was good for now. The kids running around shied away from the large sea dragon, not sure if he was hostile or friendly. They decided after watching him for some time that he was friendly. One kid poked him with a finger. No response. Another kid threw some sand on him. No response. A third kid kicked some sea water at him when the tide came in. No response. After seeing that he was totally asleep on the beach, they decided to sandsculpt on him. The kids buried him in the sand first, leaving only his head, arms and some of his larger fins exposed. Skeksis was completely asleep, so the kids were free to giggle and talk among themselves as they played "dress up" with the giant mound of sand. Their parents were completely occupied with setting up their beach picnic a few running strides away. Luckily Skeksis wouldn't harm the human children, awake or asleep. He was a very heavy sleeper when he was comfortable enough, and didn't thrash around in his sleep. The sand was soft and warm, and the sun was nicely overhead.
The little brats turned the mound into the body of a mermaid.
One of them whipped out their phone and started taking selfies with the sleeping monster. The rest of them took out their phones and took selfies too. They stopped giggling when a few of their many pictures had Skeksis awake, grinning at the phone camera and giving a thumbs up. "This my new body? I like it. It's very me." The sound of his voice had a few of them squealing and running back to their parents, while those that stayed behind took more pictures. Skeksis gladly posed for them, having a lot of fun being a sandy mermaid. A couple of parents came over and were total buzzkills, sucking away the joy of the silly moment, "Hey, stay away from our child." They obviously didn't see his full body. The parents probably thought their child had packed on too much sand like the rest of the kids did.
When he moved, he sadly destroyed the work of sand art, revealing just how big he really was.
He shook off the sand from his scales, "What did I do to you?" The parents actually paled at how enormous his body was, and how buff he appeared. He had a lot of power beneath those soft scales and the rippling muscles beneath them was a physical testament to that. The parents immediately backed away at his very intimidating appearance. Some of the kids who were taking pictures, though, did not back away out of fright. They backed away so they could get as much of his body as possible in their phone cameras. Some of the parents were totally cool with what they were doing, while others mumbled to themselves that the children were in harm's way and somebody should do something about it. When the parents confronting Skeksis didn't respond to his question, he simply slithered toward the ocean, diving into the water. Those kids looked disappointed...
...until he came back up riding a wave. That got cheers from them.
So many pictures, so little time. After he came to shore from riding the wave, they uploaded their pics onto their social media site of choice. The human children who had anti-monster parents seem amused too. Monster children were of course applauding. It seemed, to Skeksis, that many of the human children had never seen a Monster of his size or appearance before. Well now they have. He slithered back up to the parents who were clearly ignorant and looked them in the eye, "Now... what did I do to you?" Both of them, having seen the reactions of the kids around them as well as their own, and the intimidating size of the sea dragon before them, were compelled to say "Nothing!" as a few body-building teenagers wanted some selfies with him.
Skeksis was currently making quite the splash on the beach.

This should tide things over.
