10 Years Later... t

Life on the surface isn't as idyllic as everyone once hoped it would be. The sudden appearance of monsters has lead to unrest and division among humankind. There are those that support the creatures, welcoming them to the surface with open arms. On the other hand, there are those who would do anything to see the monsters barricaded back underground. To make matters worse, a series of mysterious human deaths has fingers pointed in the monsters' direction. Can the monsters and their allies make things right before another senseless war is waged? You decide.

All of my threads will have a name of a Nine Inch Nails song and each has significance to him and how he reacts with the world and others. Here I will basically break it down so you have an idea of the Zen of Xander.

My first post is between Xander and Chara. Xander sees Chara and immediately senses the HATE inside her and decides that she could benefit from his knowledge. All of the potential she could have and chooses to avoid either by free will or not knowing. He knows that LOVE is not enough to change the world at large. If Chara is to fulfill her aspirations she's going to need something else to close the gap. A service Xander is almost too eager to provide her. He recalls his own struggles with discovering the differences of LV and HT and all the wasted time he had focusing on LOVE when the true source of his enlightenment was somewhere else all along. Something he committed himself in having Chara learning all about.

Some people play video games to escape the void of every day life, or maybe read a book, or listen to music. The only thing that puts Xander's mind at ease now is controlling his HATE. His out to do this is his own personal melee circle. A group he brought together of people who love to fight to escape from the doldrums of life for a while and do something dangerous. For Xander it has become the fix that he just can't live without. He knows that at any moment it may be his own downfall, but he wouldn't trade the feeling he gets when he traces that HT moving from his body to his soul for anything. It's his only constant and only comfort.

A tribute to Xander's separation from the rest of humanity. His desire to fight against it's sacrificial track. This song and the content of the thread go hand in hand as in Xander's eyes neither the activists or the humans on the sidelines just going about like anything is going on are contributing to a suitable solution. So he has put it on himself to make change. He's got a fist and a plan and with some support he is not afraid to see it through this time.

Another aspect is his letting go of the idea that humanity is something able to be saved. To much has happened to wound it by human's own hands for it to ever be stable again. He does however have some pity towards those who have been abused by those who consume. However there is really nothing he could do for them when his plan is fulfilled. They could either try to rebuild with him or they are going to be part of what is tossed away in the wake of his revolution against humanity.
